Gariaband :This story is no less than a film…. Manish Bisi, who belongs to Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh, bought a new SIM card, he did not know that this number used to be with Indian cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar. Manish got this SIM card from a local mobile shop near his village Madagaon.

After getting the SIM, when Manish Bisi installed WhatsApp, Rajat Patidar’s photo was visible in it. Manish and his friend Khemraj initially thought it was a system glitch, but then suddenly they started getting calls from famous cricketers, including Team India’s star batsman Virat Kohli and former South Africa captain AB de Villiers. Initially, Manish Bisi thought it was a prank by his friends, but on July 15, Rajat Patidar himself called Manish and asked him to return the number. Later, the police also reached the village to solve the matter.

Never thought I would talk to Virat Kohli…’

Khemraj told Newsbuddy correspondent , ‘I never thought that one day I would talk to Virat Kohli and that too from my village. AB de Villiers spoke in English, we could not understand, but were very happy. According to Manish’s brother Deshbandhu Bisi, the villagers are very happy because most of the people here are RCB fans, talking to legends like Kohli and de Villiers is an experience that cannot be described in words. Khemraj further said, ‘When Manish used to get calls, he would give the phone to me.

Virat Kohli and Yash Dayal were also among the callers, they asked us why we were using Patidar’s number. We told them that we have bought a new SIM and this is our number.’ How did Manish get Patidar’s number? Expressing happiness, Deshbandhu Bisi said, ‘Even if all this happened due to some mistake, but this conversation happened only by luck. People dream of seeing him, we got a chance to talk to him. Gariaband’s Deputy Superintendent of Police Neha Sinha said that all this happened due to the policies of Telecom. Actually, if the SIM is not used for 90 days, it gets deactivated and then the number is given to someone else, so it was not anyone’s fault. Eventually, with the consent of Manish Bisi and his family, this SIM card was returned to RCB captain Rajat Patidar.
