Daly College row: Principal terms head girl Niaa Baheti allegations baseless

Indore (Team Newsbuddy). From few days news has been on social media about Indore’s prestigious Daly College. Students were constantly accusing the Daly College administration of irregularities. Head girl Niaa Baheti had even resigned over this. Now the Daly College administration has woken up. The principal has issued an official statement expressing concern over this and calling most of the allegations baseless.
Daily College Principal Dr. Gunmeet Bindra has issued an official statement in this regard on September 1. In this, he has said that the safety, respect and welfare of every student in Daly College is our top priority.

A letter had already been circulated on social media. In this regard, I would like to clarify that its contents do not reflect the full reality of events. During this sensitive situation, every decision of the school was inspired by empathy. However, difficult compromises had to be made at various levels for this.
The Principal has said in his letter that it is unfortunate and extremely sad that an internal matter of the school has become public. The controversy has deepened with allegations of lying, separatism, indiscipline, unfulfilled work obligations by students, preparations and during the ongoing DCMUN 2025 conference. In this difficult time, the students of DCMUN 2025, other students of Daly College, several alumni, the institute and its faculty have come forward in solidarity.
The Principal has said in his statement that a disciplinary committee has been formed to investigate the matter with fairness and transparency.
It is worth mentioning that Daly College’s head girl Niaa Baheti had resigned after making many allegations. About 50 students had given their reaction to this. These students say that they and the organizing committee of DCMUN 2025 want to highlight how Niaa Baheti has made baseless allegations against the school, its teachers, students and the principal. The students have said that their entire agenda was to harm DCMUN 2025, the reputation of the institution, the principal as well as the teachers.

Niaa Baheti’s allegations

Niaa Baheti made many allegations in her one and a half page resignation. She wrote that the principal did not support her. Niaa wrote- Children are making fun that nothing is going to happen here. She will shout, make the children write, sometimes give decisions, then powerful parents will reach the board and then she will shed tears and then nothing will happen and then the children will become even more arrogant. Niaa wrote that if the head girl of the school can be made fun of, abused, mentally broken, then what will happen to your children? What will happen to your representatives? What will happen to the next generation that has the courage to be good, civilized and principled? Niaa wrote- I have suffered more than my capacity. I was made fun of and harassed with the full knowledge of Aditi ma’am. Who herself made me cry countless times. Only they know the reasons why they supported him and deepened my humiliation.
