Over 103.40 lakh metric tonnes of paddy lifted in the state

Raipur(TEAM NEWS BUDDY).Till now, the state government has purchased a record 144.92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from farmers at support price. Along with paddy procurement, continuous lifting of paddy is going on for custom milling. Till now, DO has been issued for lifting of 106 lakh 69 thousand 702 metric tonnes of paddy, against which 103 lakh 40 thousand 304 metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted by the millers. In lieu of paddy procurement, an amount of more than Rs 31,913 crore has been paid to the farmers. According to the information received from the General Manager of Markfed, till now 144 lakh 92 thousand 96 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 24 lakh 72 thousand 440 farmers in the state till February 04 at support price.
