Panelists hold discussion on “Compelling Women Characters’

Dr Sushama Kasbekar’s written books : Murder at the Club and Titbits:A Tale of Ants , steal the show.

New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy) : World Book Fair was organised by the National Book Trust of India under the aegis of Ahmedabad International Book Festival at New Delhi recently .
A panel discussion was held on entitled “Compelling Women Characters”. The panel included Dr. Sushama Kasbekar, best selling author and educationist; Rrashmi Verma, best selling author from the corporate world and moderator Suhail Mathur, Literary Agent and CEO at the Book Bakers.


The discussion began by throwing light on the characters in “Murder at the Club” and “Tidbits: A Tale of Ants” written by Dr. Kasbekar. The books have been widely read especially Murder at the Club for its appealing characters and twists and turns. Rrashmi Verma threw light on how patriarchal norms permeate our society and how women authors should be authors and not be labelled “women authors “. Suhail Mathur posed relevant questions and regaled the audience with his ready wit and humour.
Umashanker Yadav heading Ahmedabad International Literary Festival introduced the panel and praised them for an excellent event.
