Rajim Maghi Punni Mela will be renamed as Kumbh Kalp Mela

Raipur. Maghi Punni Fair organized every year in Rajim will now be known as ‘Kumbh Kalp Fair’. On the demand of the opposition, the decision on the amendment bill was taken through voting, in which 43 votes were cast in favor of the amendment bill and 30 against it.

Culture Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal introduced the amendment bill in the House. BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar, while speaking in favor of the bill, said that the previous government tampered with the culture and history of Chhattisgarh. A scuffle started between the party and the opposition on the statement of Ajay Chandrakar.

Opposition members objected to changing the name of Rajim Maghi Punni Fair. Atal Srivastava said that do not try to erase our culture. On this, Ajay Chandrakar said that only the name is being amended, but Rajim’s pride is linked to this. During the discussion, there was a heated argument between Atal Srivastava and Sushant Shukla.
