2 min read

Raipur. Describing BJP’s Kisan Mahakumbh as election Kumbh, senior State Congress spokesperson Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that Rajnath Singh’s government raises concrete walls on the roads and gets iron nails hammered in to stop the farmers from entering Delhi. They spray water, fire tear gas shells and rubber bullets and come to Chhattisgarh and pretend to be well-wishers of the farmers. This was not the farmers’ Mahakumbh, it was the BJP’s election Kumbh, due to which the farmers distanced themselves. The farmers of the country have been seeing this for the last 10 years that the character of BJP is anti-farmer. Under the Modi government, not only has the income of farmers not doubled, they have not received support price that is one and a half times the cost of their produce, but the problems have increased three times. Farmers do not get fertilizers on time. Arbitrary GST is charged on agricultural equipment. The subsidy has been abolished. After the formation of Modi government, the farmers of the country have accumulated a debt of more than Rs 21 lakh crore and the incidents of farmer suicides have increased. The farmer is frustrated and worried. 80 crore people are not able to buy two meals a day, 23 crore people are dependent on 5 kg ration and have gone below the poverty line.

Senior State Congress spokesperson Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the government has promised to purchase 21 quintals of paddy per acre from the farmers as promised and to give a lump sum amount of Rs 3100 per quintal in cash at the Panchayat Bhawan, and loan waiver of up to Rs 2 lakh for each farmer. Could not complete. This government is just praising Modi by taking a loan of Rs 13000 crore in 100 days and is playing advertising
