CAA implementation: CM Sai congratulates PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah
1 min readRaipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for implementing CAA. He said that under the notification of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) of the Modi government, minorities from three neighboring countries will now be able to get Indian citizenship. The Chief Minister said that due to the determination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a major hurdle for the minorities coming from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh was removed. The implementation of CAA will provide strength to our brothers and sisters who are victims of oppression in these three countries. They will get the benefits of citizenship and will be able to avail all the facilities which are available to the citizens of India.
The Chief Minister said that I salute the courage of those who did not change their religion despite religious persecution. Due to citizenship rules, he was facing difficulty in getting citizenship despite taking refuge in India. Narendra Modi’s government sensitively understood their pain and brought CAA i.e. Citizenship Amendment Act. The Chief Minister said that a large number of people have settled in Chhattisgarh after becoming victims of religious persecution before 2014. Brothers and sisters from Sindh province of Pakistan have reached here after becoming victims of religious persecution. This decision of Narendra Modi will act as a balm to his wounds. He also said that Hindu refugees from Bangladesh have also settled in Chhattisgarh. They will also benefit from the implementation of CAA.
