Dy CM Sao meets players of All India Women’s Hockey Competition

Raipur. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao reached the All India Women’s Hockey Competition organized at Bahtarai Sports Ground in Bilaspur and encouraged the players. This five-day competition has been organized by SECL (South Eastern Coalfields Limited) from March 7 to March 12. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao said in the program that hockey is the national game of the country and the identity of India. This initiative of social concern of Navbharat newspaper is praiseworthy. Along with Chhattisgarh, women players from many states have got the opportunity to participate in this competition. He said that the state government is committed to promoting sports and players. Continuous work is being done for the development of sports in the state. Training centers for sports are also being opened in villages.

National players from Rajasthan, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are participating in this All India Women’s Hockey Competition organized in Bilaspur. 250 players from seven states are participating in it. The final match of the competition will be played on March 12. A large number of sports lovers including MLA Atal Srivastava, District President of Hockey Association Rohit Vajpayee, General Secretary of Hockey Association Manish Srivastava, former Mayor Kishore Rai, Sujit Bose and Malay Bhattacharya were present in the program.
