Raipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched the PM SURAJ Portal on March 13. The Sports and Youth Welfare Minister and Dhamtari district’s Minister in Charge, Tank Ram Verma, attended the program held at the Municipal Corporation Community Hall in Dhamtari.

Addressing the program, Minister-in-Charge Tank Ram Verma stated that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country is progressing day by day. India has become the fourth largest economy in the world, and the day is not far when India once again achieves the status of the ‘Sone ki Chidiya’. Every person from every section of society is benefiting from the welfare schemes launched by the government. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s government is fulfilling every promise made under Modi’s Guarantee to the people of the state. The state government has provided paddy bonuses to the farmers on Good Governance Day, Rs. 1000 every month to eligible women of the state under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, financial assistance to farmers under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, and Ramlala Darshan Yatra for the devotees of Chhattisgarh to visit Ayodhya.

MLA Kurud Ajay Chandrakar stated, “Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government works for the interests of the poor and needy. Today, we witnessed a program organised for the underprivileged, a segment that either had no schemes allocated for them or couldn’t access existing ones. However, Prime Minister Modi is directly benefiting the underprivileged sections through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)”. He further stated that the list of beneficiaries benefiting from the schemes of the Central and State Governments is long.

It is worth mentioning that the PM SURAJ Portal is a national portal aimed at social upliftment, employment, and public welfare. Through this portal, credit support will be provided to disadvantaged sections by prioritising the loan facilities for the underprivileged. It is a transformative initiative aimed at uplifting the most marginalised segments of society. People will be able to easily apply for loans through this portal, including business loans of up to Rs. 15 lakh. This will eliminate the need to go through the hassle of dealing with banks, as applications can be submitted directly through this portal. Devotees who visited Ayodhya for Ramlala Darshan expressed gratitude to Minister-in-Charge Verma and MLA Chandrakar by presenting them with a picture of Ramlala. They also provide bonuses of Rs. 5.4 lakhs through cheques for fisheries production to six Aqua farmers.

MLA Kurud Ajay Chandrakar, former MLA Dhamtari Sushri Ranjana Sahu, former Municipal Corporation President Sushri Archana Chaubey, Ramu Rohra, dignitaries, various public representatives, media personnel, officials, and employees were present.
