Congress guarantees to pay Rs 400 per day as MNREGA wage,

The anti-labor law made by Modi government will be reviewed,

Raipur . State Congress spokesperson Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that if the Congress government is formed at the Centre, the workers working under MNREGA will be given a wage of Rs 400 per day. At present, a person working in MNREGA gets a wage of about Rs 200 per day. Which will double to Rs 400 per day if the Congress government is formed. Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee was started during the UPA government. In Chhattisgarh, the Congress government had fulfilled its pledge of providing employment for 150 days under MNREGA and had set a record at the national level by providing more than 27 crore labor days during the Covid period.

Senior State Congress spokesperson Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that Congress has always respected labor and worked for the welfare of the workers. The anti-labor laws brought by the Modi government will be reviewed and improvements will be made in the interest of workers. If the Congress government is formed, there will be a guarantee of minimum wage of Rs 400 per day at the national level, urban employment guarantee, workers will be given the right to health, there will be provision for free testing, treatment and medicines. Social security will be provided to workers in the unorganized sector and the contract system for important works in the government sector will be stopped. Laborers working on contract in the private sector will also be given social security.
