Motosports Club organizes interactive session at NIT Raipur

Raipur: The interactive session of Motosports Club was successfully organized at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur on 18 March 2024 under the supervision of Faculty Incharge Dr. Shailesh Vaidya. At the event, the Motosports team guided the keen students in this field and imparted information about various parts of Motosports. During this, Faculty Incharge of Aviation Club, Dr. NV Swamy Naidu was also present.

The program started with lighting of the lamp by Dr. Vaidya and Dr. Naidu and they were welcomed in the program by presenting a sapling. The club members explained one by one the functional areas of motosports like brakes, steering, suspension system, frames, electrical powertrain etc. with the help of 3D models. Taking the discussion forward on powertrains, Dr. Naidu discussed about their types, aerodynamic analysis, development of RC planes and the challenges of developing existing vehicles based on twin engines.

MotoSports Club of NIT Raipur serves as a vibrant platform for the intellectual development of the students by allowing them to come together, innovate and showcase their engineering skills in collaboration with each other in automotive design. The club ensures that its members remain abreast of new methods and technologies, thereby achieving commendable achievements like securing their positions at the top in national level competitions like Club Formula Bharat, SAE E Baha etc. The club finished 17th out of 34 teams that participated in national level competitions like Formula India and cleared all the technical sessions in e-Baha to finish 55th out of over 100 teams.

At the end the seniors of the club answered everyone’s questions one by one and shared various information to increase their knowledge about Motosports.
