Corona year: Dead bodies still lying in Mekahara mortuary for 4 years, in search of family members
2 min readRaipur: The bodies of 3 patients who died during the Corona period are still lying in the mortuary of Ambedkar Hospital in search of their families for the last 4 years. But till now the whereabouts of the relatives of those dead bodies is not known. The dead bodies have deteriorated while waiting for the last rites. Perhaps even the hospital administration was not aware of this.
As soon as the information was received, district administration officials immediately reached the hospital on Wednesday and took information about the dead bodies. The names of the dead bodies have also been received, on the basis of which the relatives of the dead bodies will be contacted. The second wave of Corona was very dangerous. Due to which there was not even space in all the private and government hospitals. The last rites of all the dead patients were performed under the supervision of the district administration. In which most of the bodies did not even reach home, they were taken directly from the hospital to the crematorium. Many dead bodies were kept in the mortuary. Out of which 3 dead bodies have not even been cremated yet. The dead bodies are completely decomposed. Till now no one has taken these dead bodies.
Let us tell you that the names of the dead bodies are Dukalheen Bai, Jabar Singh and Pankaj. Jabar’s body was brought to Heritage Hospital and Pankaj’s body was brought to Ambedkar Mortuary from Ramakrishna Care Hospital. Whose relatives have not yet arrived to take away the dead body. This information was earlier given to the district administration for final rites, but the administration did not pay attention. Now their families will be contacted by the administration. And in case of no contact, the last rites will be performed.
