Naxal aide couple arrested with 208 kg explosives
1 min readNarayanpur . Narayanpur police has got a big success in breaking the supply chain of Naxalites. The police has arrested the couple with explosive material in Dhaurai.
According to the information received, the couple was selling amulets, garlands and Rudraksha under the tamarind tree in Dhaurai of Narayanpur district. The police searched them on suspicion, after which 208 kg of potassium nitrate explosive material, codex wire and explosive fuse were recovered from them in 6 sacks. When asked, they did not have any valid documents.
Explosive material recovered
During interrogation, the couple told that their names are Ravi Markam (45) and Chameli Bai (35). Both of them are husband and wife and are residents of Panna Chhatarpur Madhya Pradesh. They told that they roam around different places and sell herbs, amulets and rosaries. On strict interrogation, they admitted that they have been supplying explosives and other items to the Naxalites for the past few years. After this, the police registered a case against both of them and arrested them.
