Collector , SP inspect polling stations

Raipur : Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Gaurav Singh and SSP Santosh Singh today inspected polling stations of Arang subdivision in connection with preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. They visited the polling stations of Matrisadan Higher Secondary School, Primary School Building Bahnakadi, Primary School Building Jugesar located in Mandirhasaud. They said that such arrangements should be made that voters do not face any problem, they should be motivated to vote in maximum numbers. Ramps should be built for the disabled people. So that they do not face any kind of problem. Arrangements should be made for shade and drinking water to protect from the sun. Also, separate toilets should be arranged for men and women in the polling stations. The Collector and SSP went inside all the booth rooms and took stock of the situation. They said that efforts should be made that these rooms have two doors and after going inside through one door and voting, one should come out through the other door. The road to reach the polling station should be in good condition, so that voters can reach easily. The SSP said that good security arrangements should be kept at the polling centres. Arrangement of barricades should be made if required. On this occasion, District Panchayat CEO Vishvadeep, SDM Pushpendra Sharma and other officials were present.
