Congress complaine to Election Commission about violation of code of conduct
2 min readRaipur. Congress complained to the Chief Election Commissioner about advertisements with photos of Narendra Modi at railway stations, petrol pumps and distribution of ration in bags with Modi’s photo in ration shops.
Congress also submitted a video to the Election Commissioner of distribution of ration to people in carry bags, bags marked with Modi government’s guarantee of ‘grain for all’, Poshit Samaj and bearing Modi’s photo by the ration shopkeeper of village-Bharregaon, centre number-75, under Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha.
It was said in the memorandum that at present the Model Code of Conduct is in force in the whole of India, in such a situation, ration material is being given in carry bags, bags bearing Modi’s photo in ration shops related to the jurisdiction of all the districts of Chhattisgarh state, which is a gross violation of the Model Code of Conduct. Along with this, advertisements with photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are put up in petrol pumps and railway stations. It should be removed immediately; this is a violation of the model code of conduct; immediate action should be taken against the guilty people in this matter. The hoardings with Modi’s photo should be removed.
Among those who submitted the memorandum were former minister Kawasi Lakhma, State Congress War Room President Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla, State Congress senior spokesperson Dhananjay Singh Thakur, Ajay Sahu, former general secretary Amarjeet Chawla, Rishabh Chandrakar, Somen Chatterjee, Puja Dewangan, Rajat Jasuja, Dinesh Nirmalkar.
