Four districts of Chhattisgarh will get gift of mobile medical unit

Raipur. Four districts of Chhattisgarh, Kondagaon, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur are going to get the facility of mobile medical unit. 10 thousand people will be benefited from this every month. For this, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between Indian Red Cross Society Chhattisgarh and REC Foundation on 12 March in the special presence of Chief Executive Officer cum General Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society Chhattisgarh, M.K. Raut and Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society, Ashok Agarwal.
Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society Chhattisgarh, Dr. Rupal Purohit and CPM of Raipur Regional Office of REC Foundation, Mr. Pradeep Fellows signed the contract. Mobile medical unit facility will be available in four districts of Chhattisgarh for the next three years with Rs 4.83 crore of CSR funds provided by REC Foundation.
It is noteworthy that through mobile medical unit, primary health care facility will be provided to the people in weak and less service areas of Chhattisgarh. It will have the facility of ATM health machine, through which more than fifty types of tests can be done and there will be a facility to give test report on the spot. Primary medical service including free medicine will be provided at home to the deprived population through these units. Every unit will have doctors, nurses, lab technicians along with basic health equipment. These units will contribute to strengthening the public health system in collaboration with the government health system. These units will be operated by the Indian Red Cross Society Chhattisgarh.
