All bills of government departments will be approved online in treasuries

Apart from salary bills of officers and employees in all the treasuries of Chhattisgarh, other bills will also be approved online through e-Kosh, preparations for this have been started by the Finance Department. The facility of digital signature is also being given to the Drawing and Disbursing Officers of all the departments to send online bills to the treasury. By making the entire process of approval of bills online, the work will be easy, as well as the approval of bills will be faster. At the same time, the work of approval of bills will also be done in a transparent manner.

At present, online software e-Kosh is being used in all the treasuries of the state for the approval of salary bills of officers and employees of government departments, along with this, hard copies of bills are also being deposited in the treasuries through the departments after the signature of the Drawing and Disbursing Officers. Now, after the entire process of withdrawal of bills in treasuries is made online, the departments will not need to submit hard copy of bills in treasuries nor will they have to submit BTR. The environment will also be protected due to paperless process.

Officials of the Directorate said that after the entire process of withdrawal of bills is made online, the approval of bills in treasuries and similarly works like raising objections in bills will also be done online. The resolution of objections raised on bills will also be done online. Due to this, the employees of the departments will not need to go to the treasury again and again. The officers and employees of the department will be able to approve the bills and resolve the objections from their office itself.
