Registration offices of state will remain open on holidays
1 min readRaipur. Registration work is being done in all the registration offices of the state through computerized NGDRS system. In this financial year, there is a government holiday in the last week of March from 29 to 31 March. But in order to ensure that the parties do not face any inconvenience in registering the documents related to the purchase and sale of immovable property, all the registration offices of the state will remain open on the year-end holidays from 29 to 31 March.
In order to ensure that the parties do not face any inconvenience in getting the stamp for registration, e-stamp counters will also remain open on holidays.
In the month of March, after 16 March, registration work in registration offices on all Saturdays and Sundays has also provided convenience to the parties. The maximum number of documents are registered in the month of March every year. Compared to normal days, about two to three times more documents are submitted for registration every day. Keeping this in mind, in this financial year, the limit of appointments per day in the month of March has been increased and the facility of appointment has been provided from 10 am to 7 pm. On normal days, appointments are available only till 5 pm.
By doing the registration work on holiday, not only will the parties wishing to get the registration done in the financial year be facilitated, but the revenue received by the department will also increase.
