Training given to polling parties by master trainers

Manendragarh. As per the instructions of Collector and District Election Officer D. Rahul Venkat, 750 trainees were trained by skilled trainers at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School Tendudand and 300 trainees at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Manendragarh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The trainees were made aware of the entire process of election at both the centers. By running the EVM and connecting it with all types of activities, all aspects of the process were incorporated through practical applications. The master trainer gave information about mock poll, the scheduled time period of voting, the first thing to be done after the polling officers reach the polling station. The polling officers were also given information about the minimum number of votes to be cast during the mock poll and the action to be taken in case of EVM malfunction during mock poll and voting. In the training, the master trainer gave detailed information to the officers of the polling team about receiving polling material, EVM-control unit, ballot unit, VVPAT machine, writing material, preparation a day before polling, arrangements at the polling station, preparation before the start of polling on the day of polling, organizing mock poll, preparing the EVM machine for actual polling, starting polling at the scheduled time, person authorized to enter the polling station and the diary of the presiding officer etc. During this, Deputy District Election Officer Anil Sidar and other district level officers were present.
