Congress complains to Election Commission against Home Minister Vijay Sharma
1 min readRaipur. The Congress Law Department complained to the Chief Election Commissioner about the Home Minister of Chhattisgarh Government, Vijay Sharma, taking memorandum from common citizens through Holi Milan Samaroh.
It has been said in the memorandum that at present the Model Code of Conduct is in force in the whole of India. In such a situation, the Home Minister of Chhattisgarh State, Shri Vijay Sharma, openly taking memorandum from the citizens of his assembly constituency Kawardha (Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha constituency) during the Holi Milan Samaroh is a gross violation of the Model Code of Conduct. Which is opposed by the Chhattisgarh Congress Committee Law Department.
It is often seen that senior and junior officers related to most of the departments under the Chhattisgarh Government, such as Police Department, Forest Department, Food Department, Excise Department, etc., who are posted in the bungalows of the ministers of Chhattisgarh Government, are visiting the bungalows of the ministers every day, which is a violation of the Model Code of Conduct. Thus, all the departmental officers/employees who are visiting the bungalows of ministers need to be kept away from election work so that fair elections can be held in the state of Chhattisgarh.
Therefore, it is requested that appropriate action be taken by putting an immediate stop to the above-mentioned issues.
Congress Law Department State President Deva Devangan, Ankit Kumar Mishra, Manoj Kumar Sonkar were present in those who submitted the memorandum.
