Congress staged protests in all districts against income tax notice

Raipur. Congress staged protests in all districts of the state against the notice of Rs 1823 crore sent to Congress by the Income Tax Department. Congress workers protested against the dictatorial attitude of the BJP’s central government, calling the Income Tax Department a puppet of the BJP. District Congress presidents and senior leaders led the protests in all districts of the state. Congress will make this movement more fierce in the coming days.

State Congress President Deepak Baij has said that the scared Modi government wants to seize the bank accounts of the Congress and send recovery notices so that it cannot fight the elections equally due to lack of money and for this it is creating obstacles through the Income Tax Department. During the last 10 years, be it demonetization or the matter of PM Care Fund, the activities of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Modi government at the center have been suspicious, but the Income Tax Department has no objection to it. There is no income tax liability on a political party. BJP has never paid any income tax. But maliciously freezing the bank accounts of Congress at the time of elections on the pretext of a 30-year old case is undemocratic.
