IIT Bhilai launches QR Kawach app to avoid online fraud

Bhilai. A three day financial literacy workshop was organized in village Joratarai under the joint aegis of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur and Government Sports Arts and Commerce College Bagbahara. The main objective of this workshop is to give information to tribal women of rural areas about the use of new technology in financial transactions. On the second day of the workshop (ITIBF) QR Kawach application was officially launched by IIT Bhilai. Akash Deep, Santosh Vishwas, Shashank Baghel of IIT Bhilai said that this app is effective to avoid online fraud. This app will be available for free on Google Play Store from 12 midnight today. This app has been launched to prevent theft of QR code. If a person misuses someone else’s QR code and manipulates money, then this app informs him and warns the person concerned about the money manipulation. On this occasion, Prof. Santosh Biswas, Head of Computer Science Department of IIT Bhilai, Prof. L. S. Gajpal from Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur, Dr. Sunil Kumeti, Bank of Baroda Training Center Head Two Two Behra, Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Shrimakhan Son, Dr. Gajanan Budek from Government Maharashtra, Baghbahra, Vishwanath Panigrahi, Deepak Sahu, Sumit Kumar Patel, Raman Thakur, Yuvraj Patel, Poonam Sahu, Miss Lakshmi Sahu, Jageshwari Nishad, Seema Nirmalkar, Bindabai Son, Premlata Sabar, Kuntidhruv and all the villagers of Bhimkhoj Panchayat were present.
