American YouTuber kidnapped by gang leader in Haiti

Port-au-Prince/New Delhi:  An attempt to interview a notorious gang leader in Haiti proved costly for a famous American YouTuber. A gang claiming to be the ruler of Haiti has allegedly kidnapped Edison Pierre Malouf. Now it is demanding a huge amount in exchange for releasing the YouTuber. Let us tell you, Malouf is also famous by the names YourfellowArab and Arab.

YouTuber Edison Pierre Malouf, a resident of Georgia, had reached the violence-hit country to interview Jimmy Barbecue Cherizier, the leader of Haiti’s most notorious gang. On March 14, just 24 hours after the American YouTuber arrived in Haiti, he was captured along with an associate by 400 Mavozo gang members.

Ransom of six lakh dollars

According to information received from sources, the American YouTuber has been kidnapped for a ransom of six lakh dollars. 40 thousand dollars have already been given in exchange for his release.

The information about Maalouf’s kidnapping started spreading like fire on social media. On this, his partner Lalem confirmed that his friend has been kidnapped. Lalem said on the social media platform X, ‘Tried not to let this information come out for two weeks. However, now this news is spreading everywhere. Yes, it is true that Arab has been kidnapped in Haiti and we are trying to bring him back safely.’

Last video surfaced
Lalem also shared a last video of YouTuber Maalouf. In this video, Arab is seen in a hotel in Haiti. In the video, he was seen saying that he and his team intended to go to the capital city Port-au-Prince. But they will have to wait till morning. He also pointed out that Port-au-Prince is completely run by gangs, yet he was determined to go there.
