All complaints received through C-Vigil have been resolved
2 min readRaipur. Under the Lok Sabha Elections – 2024, swift action is being taken on the complaints received from the people on the C-Vigil App (Citizen Vigil App) of the Election Commission of India. As of April 1, 2024, all 197 complaints received through C-Vigil have been resolved.
It is noteworthy that complaints of violation of the code of conduct from the common citizens are being received through C-Vigil. A separate control room has been set up in the Chief Electoral Officer’s office to resolve the complaints received on C-Vigil. Chief Electoral Officer Shri Reena Babasaheb Kangale herself is monitoring the action taken on the complaints received daily.
All possible efforts are being made to ensure compliance of the Model Code of Conduct in the state during the Lok Sabha Elections – 2024. To increase the participation of citizens in cases of violation of Code of Conduct and prompt redressal of complaints, C-Vigil application developed by Election Commission of India has been further strengthened. Now common citizens will be able to complain about cases of violation of Code of Conduct through live photographs and videos as well as audio clips. If a citizen sees any incident of violation of Code of Conduct in the state, then using C-Vigil application, he can make a photo or 2 minutes video or audio clipping of the spot and complain through the application. Complaint can be made anonymously or by registering in the app.
Process of complaint by citizens –
Download CVigil app from Google Play Store / Apple Store. Citizens can either log-in through mobile number and OTP or can also register complaint anonymously. Capture photo/video/audio of Model Code of Conduct violation. Pre-recorded photos/videos/audios cannot be uploaded. Enter additional information to help identify the exact location of the spot. After entering all the required fields click on Submit.
