Big success on Naxal front in Chhattisgarh: 17 Naxalites killed in six days
3 min readRaipur(Team Newsbuddy): Naxalites are continuously getting uprooted in Chhattisgarh. The force is getting big success one after the other on the Naxal front. The force is camped in Bastar division. It is entering the den of Naxalites and taking on them. Amidst the scorching heat in Bastar, the force personnel are standing firm and taking on the Naxalites. The force has taken the front in Bastar division to eliminate the shadow of ‘red terror’ from the charming and beautiful natural valleys of Bastar. Within six days, the security forces have killed 17 Naxalites.
In an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Gangalur area of Bijapur on Tuesday, the soldiers have killed nine Naxalites so far. Police claim that many Naxalites have also been injured in the encounter. Searching is going on in the area. Not only this, a huge cache of weapons has also been recovered from the spot. Police has also seized many sophisticated weapons. These include LMG, launcher, automatic weapons, UBGL, large quantity of arms and ammunition, Naxal literature, daily use items and essential medicines.
Police said that on Monday night, a joint team of the force comprising DRG, STF, Cobra and CRPF left for Gangalore area on a search operation. During the operation, around 6 am on Tuesday, the police had a fierce encounter with Naxalites in the forest of Lendra in Gangalore police station area. In this, the force killed 11 Naxalites on the spot. The force has recovered the bodies of all 11 Naxalites. This is being considered a big success of the security forces on the Naxal front.
6 Naxalites including Naxal deputy commander killed
Just six days ago, the force had an encounter with Naxalites in the forest area near Chipurbatti-Pusbaka in Basaguda police station area of Bijapur district. In the encounter, the police killed six Naxalites including a Naxal deputy commander. Weapons along with the bodies of the Naxalites were recovered from the spot. A female Naxalite was also among the killed Naxalites. On the basis of inputs, after three villagers were killed with an axe on the Basaguda Pusbaka road on Holi, a joint party of DRG, CRPF and Cobra jawans had gone out on a search operation. Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, there was a fierce encounter between the security forces and the Naxalites’ platoon number 10 on the banks of the Talperu river near Chipurbatti in Basaguda police station area. In this encounter, the jawans killed six Naxalites including a Naxal deputy commander. Among the killed Naxalites were Nagesh, deputy commander of platoon number 10 of Naxalites and his wife Soni.
The reason for success
There are two main reasons for the success of the force in Naxalgarh. First, since the Lok Sabha elections are due, the force is committed to conduct peaceful elections in Bastar division. In such a situation, it is taking charge in every nook and corner of Bastar division so that the elections can be conducted peacefully. In such a situation, on getting any clue of the Naxalites, the force immediately reaches the spot and gives them a befitting reply by searching. Search operations have been intensified. Security forces are conducting searches day and night. The soldiers are fully alert in the Naxal area. Central security forces like CRPF, SSB, ITBP, CAF, DRG etc. are taking charge.
