Raipur: This time the heat has broken the record of the last three years. The mercury, which was at 38-39 degrees, has crossed 40 on the very second day of April. Dongargarh was the hottest in the last 24 hours. The maximum temperature recorded in Dongargarh was 42.3 degrees.The temperature in Raipur has reached 44.2 degrees as compared to the last 10 years. This time it is predicted that there will be more heat in Central India. According to meteorologists, along with the minimum and maximum temperatures, the number of rains and heat waves will also be high. Its signs have started appearing in the state including Raipur in the initial days itself.Health effects of extreme heat
It is so hot in the afternoon that even the traffic on the roads has started reducing. The extreme heat is also having adverse effects on people’s health. The temperature is likely to increase in the next four days. There are chances of slight change in the weather after the second week. After this the mercury will increase at a rapid pace. By the last week of April the temperature can reach 46.1 degrees.excessive heat in outdoor areas
It is hotter in outer areas than in urban areas. The reason for this is the decrease in population and greenery there. The effect of heat wave is visible till afternoon. Last week, the temperature of Outer Area Nava Raipur was the highest in the state. The maximum temperature in Rajnandgaon was 41.2 degrees, Raipur 40.3, Bilaspur 39.2, Ambikapur 36, Jagdalpur 39.2 and Durg 39.9 degrees.
