Rs 30 crore 47 lakh cash seized in Raipur

Raipur. Illegal money and items worth Rs 30 crore 47 lakh have been seized in the state since the Model Code of Conduct came into effect on March 16 for the Lok Sabha General Elections-2024 till April 1. These include cash worth Rs 9 crore 11 lakh. According to the information received from the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, during monitoring by enforcement agencies, 24 thousand 226 liters of illegal liquor has been seized till April 1, which is worth Rs 56 lakh. Along with this, 885 kg of other narcotics worth Rs 1 crore 60 lakh have also been seized. During the intensive investigation campaign, 24.16 kg of precious jewelery and gems worth Rs 1 crore 64 lakh have also been seized. Apart from these, other materials, worth Rs 17 crore 58 lakh, have also been seized.
