BJP misunderstood proverb, violence is not in our thinking, we respect Prime Minister – Bhupesh Baghel
1 min readRaipur. On BJP’s reaction to the statement of Leader of Opposition Charandas Mahant , former Chief Minister and Congress’ Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha candidate Bhupesh Baghel has said that BJP leaders misunderstood because they could not understand the Chhattisgarhi proverb properly.
He said that “Whatever Leader of Opposition respected Charandas Mahant said is said in the idiom of Chhattisgarhi language. Every person who understands Chhattisgarhi language rich in proverbs and is connected to Chhattisgarhi folk life knows it. His intention was to break the pride.”
Bhupesh Baghel has said that BJP leaders cannot understand this idiom because they do not understand Chhattisgarhi language culture.
Baghel has said but despite this fact, Mahant has politely said that if it has been misinterpreted then he expresses regret. After this regret, this controversy should end.
He said, “We are people of Mahatma Gandhi’s party. We neither believe in violence nor is violence a part of our thinking. We are people of non-violent ideology.”
Bhupesh Baghel has said that as far as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is concerned, we want to defeat him democratically. We want to break his pride. We have no disrespect for him in our mind. May he stay healthy and live long.
