Voters of Bastar should exercise their right to vote on polling day: Reena Kangale

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale, while addressing the voter awareness rally organized in Jagdalpur city , said that all aware citizens should exercise their right to vote on polling day and also motivate other people to vote by making them aware of the importance of voting. Praising the awareness of voters during the last assembly elections, she said that you people have set a new record by breaking the record of voting percentage of many years in Bastar division. The enthusiasm shown by the voters in this forest region of the state to exercise their right to vote is also inspiring for the voters of other areas of Chhattisgarh.

In the program, Chief Electoral Officer Reena Kangale flagged off the voter awareness chariot and encouraged the disabled people participating in the rally by presenting them flowers. She administered an oath to all the citizens participating in the rally to exercise their right to vote. The voter awareness rally started from Shaheed Park and reached Haata Ground, where the rally was concluded by forming a human chain. In the program, the message to vote on April 19 was given in the local dialect.

Collector and District Election Officer Vijay Dayaram K. said that due to the voter awareness campaign for the assembly elections, more than 80 percent voting took place. He said that this time in the Lok Sabha elections, a polling team of women employees has been formed for 125 polling stations in the district. He also gave information about conducting voter awareness campaign in all the Gram Panchayats, Haat Bazaars under the Sweep program.

On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha, CEO District Panchayat Prakash Surve, Forest Divisional Officer Uttam Gupta along with other officers, senior citizens, Divyangjan, third gender members and dignitaries were present.
