Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): During the implementation of the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, teacher leaders met School Education Minister Brijmohan Agarwal. Two teacher leaders drew the attention of the departmental minister to various demands related to teachers. According to media reports, the minister also assured to meet these demands. Experts say that the minister is not at fault in this because if someone goes to meet the minister, how will he refuse him. People keep going to meet leaders. But during the code of conduct, the Election Commission has strict instructions that government employees will neither meet any leader, minister nor go to their bungalows. Let alone getting photographed. It is said that a complaint has been made to the commission. Additional Electoral Officer Nilesh Shrirasagar said that during the code of conduct, no employee, officer can meet the minister or leader. A report has been sought from the School Education Department in this regard. Teachers Association had discussed these points with the School Education Minister.

According to the press note of the association, in a discussion with the State President of Chhattisgarh Teachers Association, Sanjay Sharma, Education Minister Brijmohan Agarwal said that the Chhattisgarh government will present its side in the Supreme Court in the interest of B.Ed trained assistant teachers. The service security of teachers will be ensured. The promotion process will be started soon on all the vacant posts of the Education Department. There is scope for amendment in the BEO post filling rules. It will be tested.

The promotion amendment will pay the pending salary of the affected teachers. The 50-50 percent ratio of direct recruitment and promotion rules will be followed. Brijmohan Agarwal, under the leadership of State President of Chhattisgarh Teachers Association, Sanjay Sharma, met the Education Minister, School Education Department, Chhattisgarh Government on 7 April and demanded to provide service security to B.Ed trained assistant teachers by making them do D.Ed bridge course.
