Jain community celebrates Mahavir Jayanti
3 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): The entire Jain community together celebrates the birth festival of the 24th Tirthankar Lord Mahavir with great pomp and reverence in a religious atmosphere by the Shri Mahavir Janma Kalyanak Mahotsav 2024 Committee. Organizing various events on the 2623rd birth festival of Lord Mahavir being celebrated this year, all the followers of Jainism introduce Jain unity. Festival Committee President Jitendra Golchha and Praneet Jain Media Incharge said that all the community members, Mahila Mandal and committees participated enthusiastically in the 15-day social, religious and cultural event organized by the committee. Mahavir Jayanti is very famous in the capital Raipur due to its celebration with great enthusiasm throughout India. Prabhat Ferry from 6.30 am in the morning has been trying to bind the society together for the last several years by becoming a symbol of social unity. Special cooperation of Shri Sadhu Margi Samata Yuva Sangh has been received every year in this event. By making a very beautiful effort of compassion for living beings, various Mandals make Mahavir’s message of live and let live meaningful. This year, pure food has been provided to about 30,000 people through Mahavir Prasadi Bhandara. Clothes, stationery, copies, etc. were distributed to the needy every day by the Mahila Mandal. About 200 people did service by donating blood through the blood donation camp. Many big doctors organized camps for medical checkups and made people aware about health. And also provided free treatment to sick people. About 150 programs were organized by the Mahila Mandal in 15 days, in which people from all sections of the society participated enthusiastically. On 21st April, on the day of Janma Kalyanak Mahotsav, all the members of the entire Jain community will take out a Shobha Yatra together. The procession began at 9 a.m. from Shri Adinath Digambar Jain Bada Mandir, Malviya Road, and passed through Sadar Bazaar, Satti Bazaar, Tatyapara, Badhaipara, Ramsagar Para, Rathore Chowk, and Gurunanak Chowk and returned and ended at Jain Dada Bari on G Road.
Various cultural programs will be held at 7 pm, in which Prabhu Mahavir Seva Samman Samaroh has also been organized. In this event, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will also attend at 8 pm. The 14 dreams that Lord Mahavir had before his birth were organized by Shrimad Ramchandra Atma Tatva Research Center at 9 pm. Based on the same, a presentation of 14 dreams has been organized in today’s context. At 11.26 pm, the Aarti of 2623 lamps of Lord Mahavir will be performed by all the religious loving brothers present.
Jain poets from different states created a stir in Jain Mahila Kavitatri Sammelan
Jain Mahila Kavitatri Sammelan was organized on the occasion of Bhagwan Mahavir Janma Kalyanak 2024 at Jinkushal Suri Jain Dadabari, MG Road, Raipur. In which famous female poets from different states from all over India came and gave their presentation. In this event Sonal Jain Surat Gujarat, Shalu Jain Sankhla Bhilwara Rajasthan, Shakti Saloni Jain, Vyavahar Deepali Jain Zia Ghaziabad, Bhumika Jain Agra were specially invited. Seeing the poetry and enthusiasm of the poetesses all the gentlemen were mesmerized. The whole campus echoed with thunderous applause. Everyone praised this event and the whole campus was crowded. In this program the coordinator poet Rajesh Jain ‘Rahi’ was also present.
