Show cause notice issued to 144 election workers absent from training

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Show cause notice has been issued by the District Election Office to 144 officers and employees absent from election training. Collector and District Election Officer Avnish Sharan has taken seriously the irresponsible absence in an important task like election. He has said that if the answer is found unsatisfactory, strict disciplinary action will be taken under the Election and Civil Services Conduct Rules. It is worth noting that the first round of election training has been completed from 8th to 10th of this month. Government officers and employees have been assigned the responsibility of Presiding Officer, Polling Officer 1, 2 and 3 as members of the polling party. 144 officers have been found absent without any information or proper reason. The Collector has organized a special training session for these absent employees on 22nd April at 11 am in the prayer hall of the Water Resources Department. All of them have been instructed to compulsorily attend it and get trained.

Polling parties formed through randomization to conduct elections

The work of forming polling parties for the Lok Sabha elections has been completed. Teams were formed in the NIC room through randomization process in the Election Commission’s software. This work was completed in the presence of General Observer Abhay A Mahajan and Collector and District Election Officer Avnish Sharan. Employees working in the elections were selected in the first randomization. Now polling teams have been formed through the second phase of randomization. Teams have been formed assembly wise. The team members do not know yet which booth they have to go to for voting. They are not even acquainted with each other. They will be sent to the booth as per the route chart at the time of distribution of material. Under the leadership of NIC Technical Director Arvind Yadav, his team completed the randomization process. The second phase of training of polling parties will start from April 25. On this occasion, Deputy District Election Officer Shivkumar Banerjee, District Panchayat CEO RP Chauhan, Assistant Collector Tanmay Khanna, Election Observer RK Rai were also present.
