SECR to provide affordable food counter for general class passengers

Raipur(Team Newsbuddy): For affordable food to the passengers traveling in the summer season in Raipur Railway Division, Indian Railways, in collaboration with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation IRCTC, is providing hygienic food at affordable prices to the passengers especially in unreserved coaches at the station.

At the time of increase in passenger traffic during the summer holiday season, the Railways has arranged convenient and budget-friendly food options for the passengers of unreserved coaches. To ensure easy access to food, snacks to those traveling in unreserved coaches general class coaches, these meals are being made available at counters conveniently located near general second class GS coaches on the platform. Passengers can buy their food directly from these counters. Under economical food, passengers will get food for Rs 20 (7 puris 175 grams, dry potato curry 150 grams and pickle 12 grams) and food-breakfast combo meal for Rs 50, 200 ml water for Rs 3. These counters are being operated at Raipur and Durg stations by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation in Raipur division.
