On Monday, Chief Electoral Officer Reena Baba Saheb Kangale, while talking to the media, said that preparations for the elections on 7 Lok Sabha seats have been completed. The Election Commission is committed to fair and peaceful elections.
He further said that a total of 15701 polling stations have been set up on 7 Lok Sabha seats. At the same time, a total of 168 candidates are in the fray. Voting will be held in all 58 assembly constituencies from 7 am to 6 pm. Where the total number of voters is 1,39,01,285. At the same time, there are 1072 critical polling stations. Also, additional security arrangements have been made in sensitive polling stations.
Election campaigning stopped 48 hours before
The election campaigning of the Lok Sabha elections has stopped from 6 pm on May 5, 48 hours before the end of voting. Now the candidates or political parties contesting the elections will neither be able to organize processions and public meetings nor use loudspeakers for their election campaign. During these 48 hours, candidates will be able to contact voters only by going door to door. According to the instructions of the Election Commission, public meetings, loudspeakers and processions will be banned during the 48 hours just before the end of voting.
