Three Naxalites involved in murder of BJP leader arrested
1 min readBijapur (Team Newsbuddy): Police on Thursday arrested three Naxalites allegedly involved in the murder of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in March this year in the district. Police officials said that three Naxalites — Munna Mudma (32), Raju Mudma (31) and Lakhmu Mudma (39) involved in the murder of Janpad member Tirupati Katla on March 1 in Toynar police station area of the district have been arrested by the police.
He said that the Naxalites have been arrested by a joint team of District Reserve Guard and Chhattisgarh Armed Force from Chintanpalli village under Toynar police station area. Officials said that BJP leader Katla was attacked by Naxalites with a sharp weapon when he went to attend a wedding in Toynar.
He said that the arrested Naxalites were also involved in the murder of the Sarpanch of Mormed village in 2022. Officials said three warrants are pending against militia commander Munna Mudma at Toynar police station.
