Raipur, (Team Newsbuddy): ‘Somewhere on the walls and somewhere on the books, children are seen drawing with their little hands. Some are singing, someone is dancing and some are acting. Children are immersed in interesting activities like artwork with leaves, painting with vegetables, art of colored rice, toy making from clay, designing with thread and mask making. A victorious smile is visible on the faces of children with different expressions.
This is the scene of schools in the state of Chhattisgarh. Summer camp is being organized by the School Education Department during the summer holidays. Secretary of the Department, Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi has taken a positive and innovative initiative for creativity in children. Children from Bastar, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur and Surguja divisions are taking steps towards learning basic literacy and numeracy while playing in a pleasant environment. This is a unique way of conveying the recommendation of National Education Policy 2020 to the parents and teachers through the schools of Chhattisgarh.
The objective of this summer camp organized by the School Education Department is to entertain the children and to bring out their hidden talent in a healthy environment and to promote self-confidence in them. To make the summer camp successful, one link is being added every day by Secretary Pardesi. While NGOs working in the field of education have been asked to voluntarily organize summer camps in the state, sports associations and other institutions are also being linked to this program. It is worth mentioning that the summer camp is a special camp for children to come together and have fun. They try new adventures and learn new things in a safe environment away from home. Thus a sense of independence develops in them. They also make new friends and increase interactions, which develops their social skills and self-confidence.
