A loan of 16000 crores has been taken in five months. Congress’ Bhupesh government did not take a single rupee loan in the last three financial years of its tenure. Whereas BJP’s Raman government had left a legacy of 50 thousand crores debt. BJP is not able to fulfill its promises, so it is blaming the previous government. Along with increase in land registration tax and guideline rates, liquor prices were also increased. Even after that, the government’s treasury is empty. This is the economic mismanagement of the government.
State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that in its five years, the Congress government did not burden the people of the state with even a single rupee of additional debt. Electricity bills were only half, property tax was not increased by even a rupee, diesel petrol VAT was reduced. Land guidelines were not increased by even a rupee for the entire five years. Despite so many reliefs, the Congress government gave priority to public welfare schemes. People were continuously helped through the Godhan Nyay Yojana. Despite this, the economic condition of Chhattisgarh remained strong.
State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that the Bhupesh Baghel government set a record of financial discipline and efficient management in Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh’s performance in all three sectors of the economy, agriculture, service and production, from 2018 to 23 during the Congress government has been better than the national average. Chhattisgarh has been the leading state among the 4 states of the country that have not taken any new loan for the last 3 years. In the Bhupesh government, no new tax was imposed in any way nor was there any increase in the previously imposed taxes, rather the people of Chhattisgarh are continuously getting subsidy, relief and concession.
