Heat wave alert in Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg till May 30
2 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): The entire state is now in the grip of severe heat and along with the scorching sun and hot winds during the day, the nights have also started getting hot, along with this, heat wave has also started in some areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted that heat wave may occur in some areas of Raipur Division, Bilaspur Division and Durg Division from Tuesday 28 May to Thursday 30 May. Therefore, people should take measures to avoid heat wave. Along with staying in cool places, mouth, nose, ears and body should be covered well while going out in the afternoon, as well as use water as much as possible. Bemetara was the hottest in the entire state on Monday, the maximum temperature of AWS Bemetara was recorded at 43.9 degree Celsius. At the same time, the maximum temperature of Raipur was recorded at 43.6 degree Celsius.
Now the condition of people has become miserable due to heat across the state including Raipur. Now the temperature has started increasing during the day as well as at night. Heat wave conditions prevailed in many areas of the state even on Monday, although light rain also occurred in some areas.
The maximum and minimum temperature of Raipur is 1.5 degrees more than normal. In view of the tremendous heat this year, there is a possibility of more rain. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be more rain this year as compared to previous years.
Cyclone Rimal is moving northward
Meteorologist HP Chandra said that with the advancement of the southwest monsoon, monsoon activity has started in some parts of the Bay of Bengal, some parts of the central Bay of Bengal and the north-east Bay of Bengal. Also, the strong cyclone Rimal is moving northward at a speed of 7 km per hour over the North Bay of Bengal.
Possibility of rain in some areas
There is a possibility of light rain in some areas of the state. Also, due to hot and dry winds coming from the northwest direction, the maximum temperature in the state will increase in the next two days.
