Transport department busy in recovery, road accidents are on rise

Raipur(Team Newsbuddy): Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the BJP government is not serious about road safety. Due to the negligence of the Transport Department, many people were injured again today due to the overturning of a pickup in Koriya district, there were 25 to 30 people in the pickup. Just a few days ago, more than a dozen people riding in a pickup died and many were injured in a road accident in Kawardha. Those who died in the Kawardha road accident also included people of the protected Bega tribe, the adopted son of the President. The Chief Minister himself has the responsibility of the Transport Department, despite that, heavy departmental negligence is visible. The Transport Department has no concern about the safety and convenience of the common citizens. The Transport Department is busy in recovery, they have no interest in preventing road accidents.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that after the formation of the BJP government, the staff on whose shoulders road safety rests is only collecting money by standing on the roads and crossings and many people are dying and getting injured in road accidents every day. The traffic department has also proved unsuccessful in implementing traffic rules. There is a need to take strict steps to prevent road accidents. The transport department should stop collecting money and work towards protecting the lives of the common people.
