Indore(Team Newsbuddy): A retired army officer tragically died while dancing to a patriotic song at an event in Indore. When he collapsed during the performance, spectators initially thought it was part of the act and continued to clap and cheer. It was only after a minute that they realized something was wrong.
The incident occurred at Agrasen Dham in the Phooti Kothi area, where a private yoga institute had organized a free camp. Retired soldier Balwinder Singh Chhabra danced while holding the tricolor. The tragic moment was captured on video and has been widely shared on social media.
Eyewitnesses reported that Chhabra was dancing to ‘Maa Tujhe Salam’ when he suddenly fell on stage, his body shaking. The tricolor slipped from his hand. Initially, the audience mistook his stumble and fall as part of the performance and continued to applaud. However, when Chhabra did not get up, people rushed to help him. He was quickly taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
In a gesture of generosity, Chhabra’s family donated his eyes and other organs. Event organizers explained that the camp aimed to connect the youth with yoga. The event lasted for about an hour on Friday morning, attracting a large number of participants, including children.
