CM Sai gives instructions to ensure preparations for prevention of Rain-borne Diseases
2 min readRaipur, (Team Newsbuddy): Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has directed officials of the departments concerned to ensure necessary preparations for prevention of rain-borne diseases. Chief Minister Sai has instructed the officials to remain vigilant during the monsoon season, ensuring adequate availability of life-saving medicines in all the hospitals and health centers across the state, from capital city to villages. Chief Minister has also directed the officials to conduct cleaning and chlorination of water sources, ensuring sufficient availability of bleaching powder and chlorine tablets. Chief Minister Sai has urged the teams of PHE, municipal administration, and health department to remain on alert.
Chief Minister Sai highlighted the increased concern for diseases like vomiting, diarrhea, and malaria during the rainy season. He emphasized that simple measures like cleaning drinking-water sources can help prevent the outbreak of these diseases. Continuous monitoring by health department officials in sensitive villages and areas prone to infectious diseases is essential.
Availability of Anti-Snake Venom in Health Centers for Snakebite Prevention
Chief Minister has directed the officials to create mass awareness among the people in the areas prone to snakebite cases, particularly Jashpur district. Additionally, Officials have also been instructed to ensure availability of adequate quantity of anti-snake venom in all the primary health centers and community health centers. Besides, trained healthcare workers should also be appointed in all these centers to handle snakebite cases effectively.
Chief Minister has also issued directives to raise awareness among people for the prevention of rain-borne diseases. People are advised to ensure there is no stagnant water around their homes during the rainy season, to prevent mosquito breeding. In case of symptoms such as fever, cough, vomiting, or diarrhea, people should visit health centers and consume medicines only under medical supervision.
