“Baba Guru Ghasidas showed path of peace, harmony to society”: CM Sai
2 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with members of the Satnami community at the Chief Minister’s residence office on Tuesday. During the meeting, he discussed the Balodabazar incident of vandalism and arson with the community members and reiterated Baba Guru Ghasidas’s message of peace and harmony. He stressed that community members have a duty to prevent anyone from misleading others and to collectively foster an environment of peace and harmony.
Members of the Satnami community expressed that the entire community is anguished by the incident. They urged the Chief Minister to take action against those who indulged in violence and vandalism during the protests. They assured that anti-social elements were not part of their delegation and reaffirmed their commitment to establishing peace and harmony in the state.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the Satnami community follows the revered Guru Baba Ghasidas, who spread the message of truth and non-violence and encouraged people to follow these paths. He further mentioned that the state government has announced a judicial inquiry for the incident of disrespecting Jaitkhaam. He emphasised that such occurrences on the peaceful land of Chhattisgarh are highly condemnable.
Chief Minister Sai stated, “You have all come from various regions of the state. It is your collective responsibility to ensure that no confusion arises and that everyone moves forward together, establishing peace. No innocent person will be punished. You organised a peaceful event to thank the government, but this incident occurred due to the interference of some anti-social elements.”
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma provided information about the actions taken by the government for the incident involving damaging the sacred Jaitkhaam in Amargufaa.
Rajendra Prasad Bhatpahri, the State President of Pragati Chhattisgarh Satnami Samaj, stated, “Our community follows the revered Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji. We believe in truth, non-violence, and harmony, and we consider everyone equal. The incident in the Balodabazar district has deeply anguished us all. We are committed to establishing peace in society and recognising our social responsibility, we are eager to work together with the government in this direction.”
During this, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Cabinet Ministers Brijmohan Agrawal, Dayal Das Baghel, Shri Tankram Verma, MLA Ajay Chandrakar, former MLA Shri Shivratan Sharma, Vice President of Pragati Chhattisgarh Satnami Samaj Sarju Prasad Ghritlahre, Vinod Bharti, district presidents of Satnami Kalyan Samiti, Satnami Sewa Samiti, Satnami Utthan Samiti, executive members, and other members of the community were present.
