Complete the construction work within the time limit, there should be continuous review of progress: Chief Minister

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reviewed the progress of the new assembly building, MLA rest house and houses being built for the officers and employees of the Assembly in Nava Raipur at their residence office here. The Chief Minister said in the meeting that the construction work should be completed within the time limit with good quality. Progress should be reviewed from time to time. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Brijmohan Agarwal, Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain were also present in the meeting.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said in the meeting that the assembly building has to be constructed keeping in mind the future generations. Our effort should be that the entire assembly should be operated on solar energy. This should become an example for the whole country. He said that maximum number of trees should be planted so that the entire campus is decorated with green environment. He said that apart from horticultural plants, main trees of Chhattisgarh like Mahua, Kusum, Sal and Teak should be planted in the campus. Along with rain water harvesting, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Singh talked about adopting such a system through which water can be reused for irrigation as well. He also talked about constructing a natural pond in the campus so that water availability is maintained. To bring speed and tightness in the construction work, Speaker Dr. Singh also asked the Chief Secretary to review it by organizing a meeting every month.
