Mahtari Vandan Scheme injustice to ST, SC Communities:Congress

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy) : Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the BJP government is doing injustice to the Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and women girls by running the Mahtari Vandan scheme started in the name of Modi’s guarantee. The BJP government is using the funds of these schemes to pay the installment of the Mahtari Vandan scheme, due to which the schemes being run in the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Women and Child Welfare Scheme are closed. In the information sought through RTI, it has been told that Rs 4 billion 71 crore 20 lakh 2200 from Scheduled Tribe Scheme, Rs 4 billion 56 crore from Scheduled Caste Scheme, Rs 6 billion 20 crore 30 lakh 50 of Women and Child Welfare Scheme, a total of Rs 15 now 47 crore 50 lakh 52 thousand 200 has been spent in Mahtari Vandan Scheme, this information has been given on 23- 2 -2024.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the BJP government has stopped old age pension and abandonment pension, while schemes like social security welfare, child welfare, nutrition campaign, Anganwadi services, distribution of nutritious food and drinks, special nutrition program, women welfare, being run for the betterment of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and women and girls have been affected. The state government seems unable to run the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the BJP government should arrange separate funds for the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and should run the schemes being run for Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and women and child welfare development as before.
