SAI Rajnandgaon girls show strength, defeat Kabirdham by 12-0 goals

5th state level hockey competition opens with great pomp.

Rajnandgaon(Team Newsbuddy): In the 5th Chhattisgarh Hockey State Level Sub Junior Boys and Girls Hockey Competition being organized under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Hockey and District Hockey Association, in the girls category, Janjgir Champa defeated Korba, Hockey Dhamtari defeated Hockey Balod, while Hockey Bemetara got a walkover due to non-arrival of team Jagdalpur and SAI Rajnandgaon started its victory campaign by defeating Kabirdham. The colourful inauguration of the competition was held under the chief hospitality of Sachin Baghel, District Cooperative Central Limited Bank President and under the chairmanship of Ramesh Patel, former President, Rajgami Sampada Trust and President, District BJP and under the special hospitality of Qutubuddin Solanki, senior hockey player, Anisha Sahu, international hockey player and Chhattisgarh Hockey President Firoz Ansari.

Sachin Baghel, the chief guest of the inauguration and inauguration ceremony of the 5th Sub Junior Boys and Girls Hockey Championship, which started today at the International Astroturf Stadium, said that Rajnandgaon city is world famous as the nursery of hockey. He said that the government is doing every possible help for sports and players. He said that together we will always be at the forefront for the promotion of sports. Chhattisgarh Hockey President Firoz Ansari while welcoming the guests said that as per the instructions of Hockey India, state level hockey tournaments are being organized with the aim of promoting grassroot hockey. Many districts which do not get a chance to showcase their skills at the national level are getting a chance to play in such tournaments.
