Rajnandgaon(Team Newsbuddy): The colourful closing ceremony of the 5th Chhattisgarh Sub Junior State Level Boys and Girls Hockey Competition, run by Chhattisgarh Hockey and organized by District Hockey Association Rajnandgaon, was held at International Hockey Stadium Rajnandgaon in the presence of Madhusudan Yadav, former MP and former Mayor of Rajnandgaon as the chief guest, Kishun Yadav, Leader of Opposition, Municipal Corporation Rajnandgaon as the chairman, Rekha Padam, International Volleyball Player as the special guest and Firoz Ansari, President of Chhattisgarh Hockey, Neelam Jain, Asha Thomas, Shivnarayan Dhaketa, Secretary, District Hockey Association, Ram Avatar Joshi, Ganesh Prasad Sharma, Bhagwat Yadav, Chandan Bharadwaj, Ranvijay Pratap Singh, Mahendra Thakur, Mrinal Choubey (International Hockey Player), Prince Bhatia, Anurag Shrivastava, Shiva Choubey, Ajay Jha, Yogesh Dwivedi, Raju Verma, Ghanshyam Prasad Chhote Lal, on this occasion international hockey players Anisha Sahu and Bhumiksha Sahu were honoured . On the last day of the sub-junior boys and girls state level hockey competition, the girls’ final match was played between Hockey Durg and Sai Rajnandgaon. Rajnandgaon defeated Hockey Durg by 8-0 goals in this one-sided match and won the title. Sai Rajnandgaon played aggressive innings from the beginning and took a 4-0 lead by Naina Sonkar scored 2 goals in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 8th minutes of the match, Priyanshi Maurya and Dubi Rawat scored 1 goal each. Hockey Durg players kept trying to score goals continuously, but Sai Rajnandgaon kept foiling them all the time. Sai Rajnandgaon players displayed a brilliant game and Sanjana Nishad scored 2 goals consecutively in the 17th minute and 18th minute of the match, while Bhavna Yadav and Dubi Rawat scored 1 goal each in the 29th and 38th minutes. Scored 1-1 goal while in the final match played in the boys category between host Rajnandgaon and Sports Hockey Academy Raipur, host Hockey Rajnandgaon won the one sided match by 8-0 goals and won the state level hockey competition title.
