Hearing aid brings joy to 5-year-old Shivam Devangan

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy) : In a compassionate gesture, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has instructed officials to provide Divyangs with benefits such as hearing aids, tricycles, crutches, artificial limbs, and other schemes through the Social Welfare Department. Shivam Devangan, a five-year-old from Gariaband district who is 90 per cent hearing impaired, has found newfound convenience in hearing and speaking after receiving hearing aid.

This device, whether worn behind the ear or in it, enhances auditory capability, thereby improving listening and grasping skills for those with impaired hearing. Shivam had previously faced lot of difficulties with listening and speaking, which required him to undergo weekly speech therapy sessions at the district hospital. Recognizing the challenges posed by his hearing impairment, Shivam’s mother sought assistance from the Social Welfare Department for a hearing aid. Responding promptly to her application, Collector Deepak Kumar Agrawal directed Social Welfare Department officers to expedite the process. Consequently, Shivam received two hearing aids under ‘Sahayak Upkaran Praday Yojana’.

After getting his hearing aid, Shivam’s ability to hear has greatly improved, doubling his happiness. His family members have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister for this support.
