Dy. CM Sao inspects multi-village water supply scheme, road construction in Raigarh

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy) : Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao inspected various construction sites during his visit to Raigarh and issued necessary instructions. He inspected the ongoing construction of a water treatment plant as part of the Bhelwatikra Sambalpuri Multi-Village Water Supply Scheme under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
During the inspection, officials from the Public Health Engineering Department informed Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao that this water treatment plant is being developed to provide water to 29 nearby villages. Raw water will be sourced from Kelo Dam and treated before distribution. Shri Sao received details about the operation of the water treatment plant from officials at the site and directed them to ensure that all aspects of the project are completed within the stipulated timeframe. He also visited the intake well at Kelo Dam, where officials stated that the base construction is finished, and work on the upper parts has commenced.
Sao also reviewed the progress of the construction work on the Raigarh-Punjipathra-Gharghoda-Dharamjaigarh road and received updates on other ongoing projects. He stressed the importance of maintaining high quality in all district projects and instructed officials to conduct regular field inspections to ensure timely completion. Department officials informed the Deputy Chief Minister that 56 km of the Raigarh-Punjipathra-Gharghoda-Dharamjaigarh road is under construction, with some sections nearing completion within a week. Besides, work is underway on the Kharsia-Dharamjaigarh road, with 42 per cent of the 91 km stretch completed.
Public Health Engineering Chief Engineer (Bilaspur Zone) Sanjay Singh, Executive Engineer Parikshit Choudhary, Public Works Department Executive Engineer Amit Kashyap, SDO Murari Singh Nayak, and local public representatives were also present.
