Raipur(Team Newsbuddy) : Government schools in villages, much like cities, are getting facelifted to enhance the learning environment for children. Renovation works of a total of 1991 schools have been completed in Mahasamund, Kanker, Surguja, and Rajnandgaon districts under the ‘Mukhyamantri School Jatan Yojana’.

During a recent review meeting of the education department, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai instructed all collectors to expedite the repair and renovation of schools in their districts. Following his directive, renovation work across all districts has gained momentum, with schools being decorated attractively.

The ongoing renovations include providing concrete roofs in primary, pre-secondary, high school, and higher secondary schools, installing tiles in classrooms, laying paver blocks in school premises, and painting. Informative and artistic paintings are also being done to beautify these schools. Additional rooms and necessary facilities are being constructed based on the schools’ requirements.

With the commencement of new academic session, schools are celebrating ‘Shala Pravesh Utsav’. The renovation efforts have garnered increased attention from students and parents, leading to higher enrollment in these schools. The facelift and improved aesthetics of the schools are encouraging parents to choose these institutions for their children’s education.

Under the Mukhyamantri School Jatan Yojana, renovation works have been completed in 333 schools in Mahasamund, 1104 in Surguja, 280 in Rajnandgaon, and 374 in Kanker district.
