The surprise inspections at Narayana-E Techno School and Gyan Carnival School were conducted by Collector Asheesh Singh. These actions were taken under the Madhya Pradesh Private School (Exchange of Fees and Related Subjects) Act 2020. Collector Singh found that Narayana-E Techno School was selling uniforms and printing course books on the school campus. The seized material was documented in Panchnama proceedings.
A show cause notice has been issued to the private Narayana-E Techno School in Indore. The institution’s response to the committee was deemed unsatisfactory. As a result, the committee has imposed a penalty of Rs 2 lakh on the principal and director of Narayana-E Techno School, Indore, for disregarding and violating sub-rules (g) and (d) of Rule 6 of the MP Private School (Regulation of Fees and Related Subjects) Act 2020 dated December 4, 2020. In a separate case, a complaint was received by the committee regarding Gyan Carnival School in Clerk Colony, Indore, which reportedly mandates students to purchase uniforms and course books only from specific affiliated shops.
Based on the documents obtained during the inspection, it was discovered that the school allowed parents to purchase uniforms from Sonu Garment Nanda Nagar and copybooks from 6/3 Sundar Apartment, Pardesipura. The inspection team also noted that the school did not have a playground as required by the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009. The team found that non-NCERT reference books were being used, parents were being compelled to buy items from specific shops, and the school, uniforms, and copybooks were not displayed on the notice board. As a result, a show cause notice was issued to Gyan Carnival School, Indore. The school submitted a response to the committee, which was deemed unsatisfactory and unresolved. Consequently, the committee imposed a penalty of Rs. 2 lakhs on the principal and director of Gyan Carnival School, Indore.
